Do your best to keep your dog active through the day. Dogs can easily get bored. Bored dogs are harder to train. You will find that your dog will pay more attention to you when it is exercised and happy. Walk or run your dog frequently.

Dogs should never be tied up close to each other. The two chains could get tangled up. This could panic you dogs as he tries to get free and he could potentially hurt himself. When potty training your pup, remember that whatever he eats must come out. In an effort to create regularity in your puppy, feed specific meals at specific times daily. This will give you an idea of when to take your puppy out and lessen the chance of accidents.

Teaching any dog how to roll over can be pretty easy. Make sure you've got a few tasty treats handy before beginning. The first step is to teach your dog to lay. The next step is to hold a treat close to the floor by the dog's head then continue to move the treat over his head until you reach the other side. He will probably follow the treat, rolling side to side as it moves. Say “roll over” as you perform the maneuver. It may take some time for your dog to perfect the trick, but it's a popular move and one that is sure to impress others.

Always treat a dog after completing tasks. You want to be able to reward your dog when he does what you want him to do. Rewarding good behavior and not bad behavior will help your dog to learn the difference between the two.

When training your dog, keep track of time during each session. Your dog will get bored and antsy if you spend too much time on one thing. Keep sessions to a minimum at first. Target 10 minute sessions for increased success.
