Training your dog well will lead to happiness for the both of you. When you are consistent with your dog, he knows what to expect. Once your dog is trained, you'll feel more comfortable leaving him inside the house alone, having visitors over with him around and taking him with you out in public. Training your dog may involve some hardship, but the end result will be a well-mannered, happy dog.
When corrected your dog verbally, make sure to use sharp, concise wording. Do not rant on at length to your dog telling them how they were bad. Simply say no and direct them to what you want them to do instead. Remember that your voice's volume gets their attention and that you are talking business.

Choose a set phrase for house training your dog. Whenever you bring him outside, repeat your chosen phrase in a firm but gentle tone to encourage him to undertake the action and associate the act with the place.
Remember that training your dog is about establishing a set of rules you both will live by. When these rules have been set and they are consistently followed, you and your dog will enjoy your time together even more! Always keep to the routine and reinforce every rule you have established. Provide refresher courses when needed and continue to correct bad behavior. Once your dog learns the basic training skills, the sky is the limit!
