Before your dog can learn a new command it will take several repetitions. It is not uncommon for it to take between 25 to 50 repetitions of the same command for your dog to learn it. Be patient and continue using a command until your dog learns it.

Dogs need an hour or more of exercise each day, aside from their potty breaks. Your training will be easier and more effective if your dog gets good daily exercise. An exercised dog is a happy and responsive dog.

Start your dog off on the right foot by installing good habits early on. The sooner you start training the dog the better, because they have not learned bad habits that you will have to correct. Never give a dog food scraps from the table so that it does not get into the bad habit of begging for them.
