One thing to remember when training your dog is that all your actions are molding its behavior and personality. This is especially important when it comes to playtime. You want to really mold your pet by working towards a desired behavior.

Even though it may not be easy, you should always be patient with your dog. Keep in mind that your dog doesn't know English like we do. Furthermore, it's not a human being. He'll learn in time, but only with consistent reinforcement. Maintain a sense of calm, and take a break if your frustration level rises during training.

If your dog has problems with destructive chewing, he may be suffering from anxiety or boredom. You can also keep your dog from causing damage while you're away by humanely enclosing him in an appropriately sized dog crate or some other small space of his own with a chew toy to keep him occupied.

Once a person has figured out how to bring out the dogs abilities to learn and be trained, it is simply a matter of practicing those techniques. Your dog will love making you happy just as much as you love seeing your dog behave.
